A Short Poem
I am a prisoner, Confined to a cell. Forgetting freedom, And expecting hell.
Having no other choice, But to be tough as nails. In order to survive, In these jails.
I sit here remembering, All of my days. Praying Ill be successful, In changing my ways.
I know my road, Is up hill ahead. A struggle within, And many tears to shed.
I dont want to be a statistic, And rejected by society. All I want is to be happy, loved, And successful in sobriety.
I have suffered so much violence, And so much pain. I need to see the light, So it all doesnt end in vain.
