Fresh Start Program

The Fresh Start Program for Ontario Works Participants is a program of Addiction Services of Thames Valley funded by the City of London. This is an employment initiative to facilitate Ontario Works participants in removing barriers to assist in their return to the work force.

"working towards a fresh start" Often getting back to work presents many barriers and challenges. If substance use is in your way lets work on making a FRESH START!

Ontario Works participants self-refer through their Ontario Works Caseworker and there are specialized programs available through Ontario Works and the Addiction Services of Thames Valley office. Services offered include assessment, treatment planning, referrals to other addiction and non - addiction services and to community treatment at Addiction Services of Thames Valley which can include individual and group counselling.

The program is designed to improve the overall well being of its participants with regard to their substance use. Through identification of the behaviours and barriers that relate to their substance use, an individualized treatment plan is developed and implemented. The program provides an outreach component that enables services to be more accessible to the participants.
